Mr Haigh is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with special interests in cataracts, strabismus (squints) and paediatric ophthalmology. He was appointed as a consultant in 1999 and his NHS practice is based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
He trained at St Pauls Eye Unit, Liverpool and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, where he undertook a paediatric ophthalmology fellowship under Mr I C Lloyd and a strabismus (squint) fellowship under Mr A M Ansons.
Mr Haigh was a founder member of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Society of the Midlands (POSSOM). He has achieved level 6 clinical excellence awards.
Mr Haigh’s specialist procedures include cataract surgery, squint surgery and YAG laser capsulotomy.
